This concert is dedicated to the memory of an incredible, passionate teacher and mentor, Ksenia Djikia. Arts Honorable of Georgia, a director of Balanchivadze College of Music in Tbilisi, Georgia for 45 years, maestro Djikia dedicated her entire life to teaching and raising extraordinary gifted kids.
The concert is curated by Maestro Djikia students and now renowned teachers - Diana Bagrationi and Lali Burjanadze.
IN THE PROGRAM: Maestro Merab Ebralidze Piano Class Students' Concert performing classical and modern works by J. S. Bach, J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, F. Chopin, F. Schubert, E. Grieg, C. Debussy, S. Prokofiev, A. Babajanian, A. Khachaturian, R. Shchedrin, A. Machavariani, S. Tsintsadze, and V. Azarashvili. Special Guest from Metropolitan Opera.
Cancer Center Children's Art Project: An Exhibition and an auction of works showcasing selected artworks by children - patients of The Hematology-Oncology Center in the Iashvili Children's Hospital in Tbilisi.
All proceeds from art and ticket sales will go to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, The Hematology-Oncology Center in the Iashvili Children's Hospital in Tbilisi, and Israel Children's Cancer Foundation.
